Laurel Falls is a scenic trail vastly known for the magnificent 80 foot waterfall at the end.

The paved path is just over two miles round trip and takes about 2 hours to complete.

There is a bridge at the base of the falls which provides the perfect spot for family photos.

This is one of the most popular trails in our area so we recommend getting an early start if you prefer to beat the crowds.

The Gatlinburg Trail

The Gatlinburg Trail

The Gatlinburg Trail is an easy hike which makes it perfect for kids and first time hikers.

The trail begins at Sugarlands Visitor Center and follows the Little Pigeon River giving you easy access to the water if you would like to dip your toes in.

This trail is relatively flat only gaining about 235 feet in elevation. It is also one of only a few trails to allow bicyclist.

Sugarlands Valley Nature Trail

Sugarlands Valley Nature Trail is perfect for everyone in your family looking to get a little fresh air.

This half mile circular trail is the only trail that is wheelchair accessible which also means it is ideal for strollers. There are several benches located along the trail allowing you to take a break if needed.

Along this trail you can enjoy nature and also view remnants of old cabins from the former Sugarland’s Settlement.

Porter’s Creek Trail is great for families looking for a more moderate hike.

This 4 mile journey will guide you through a quiet forest filled with waterfalls and wild flowers.

The trail will take you past a cemetery from the early 20th century, the remnants of an old mountain community and the 19th century John Messer farm site.

Elkmont Nature Trail

Elkmont Nature Trail

The Elkmont Nature Trial is an easy outing for the family. The path is less than a mile long but is a great way to learn about the naturally evolving ecosystem.

The path follows an old rail system that was originally used for moving logs out of the area.

You will find a small stream and also many daffodils indicating remnants of previous homesites.
